Attendance
Lark Rise Academy is committed to providing the best possible education for all of its pupils through the provision of high quality learning experiences; we consider regular and punctual attendance to be essential to maximise the benefits of these learning experiences. We are committed to working with parents, carers and children to ensure that high levels of attendance are achieved and ensure that children are fully aware of the positive correlation between attendance and attainment. We regularly celebrate the positive attendance of pupils and share this with parents and carers. It is a legal requirement of parent/carers to ensure that their child, or children in their household, attends school regularly and punctually. Medical evidence must be proved for all absences and intervention support may be sought from the Access & Inclusion Service, for any family where attendance becomes a concern. A fixed penalty notice may be issued for any unauthorised absence totalling more than 10 sessions (each day consists of 2 sessions) in a 12 week period. If you are concerned regarding your child's attendance or issues that may be affecting this, please contact the school.
