Computing Intent
At Lark Rise Academy we intend that every child is digitally literate. We recognise that technology is everywhere and ever-changing and evolving; it will play a pivotal part in children’s lives. We intend that all of our pupils are confident digital citizens who are confident, safe and efficient users of technology.
We want our pupils to understand that there is always a choice with using technology and as a school we utilise technology to model positive use. We recognise that the best prevention for a lot of issues we currently see with technology and social media in the wider world, is through education. In school we follow a clearly mapped curriculum that is underpinned by progressive important learning relating to online safety.
Within our broad and balanced curriculum, technology for learning is interweaved and provides children with the means to communicate, explore, invent and innovate. We ensure children are confident in the use of technology and that they use it to further enrich their learning experiences.
