| General Information - Welcome to Lark Rise Academy |
We warmly welcome you to Lark Rise Academy a place where every child is important and their uniqueness is celebrated to the full.
We listen and talk to each child in order to facilitate their learning making the pathways they follow as successful as we can.
All staff are passionate and dedicated to offering first class education that strives for excellence and it is with this in mind that we seek a partnership with parents and carers.
We welcome all stakeholders’ views on what is to be achieved and accommodate the ideas.
We know that children grow up rapidly from the day they start with us at 3 years old until we proudly let them fly at 9 years old.
The school known as Lark Rise Lower School was opened in September 1974 built on a corn field often frequented by Skylarks to serve the growing estate and originating from Chiltern Road Infant School 1912.
On 1st October 2010 we were given the chance to convert to an Academy through which we were able to shape our own future independent from the Local Authority.
We serve a catchment area in Dunstable and are a mixed gender, fully inclusive school.
We are fortunate to have families of several generations that have attended the school with fond enough memories to seek to enrol their offspring at the appropriate time.
We are aware of the difficult decision parents have to make as they select the school for their child to go to.
This website is offered as a brief description that can be enriched through a visit to see us in action.
